Retention Strategist
About the role
As a Retention Strategist at OKTOBER, you play a key role in developing and executing Email & Retention Marketing strategies for Shopify scale-ups. You’ll work with channels like email, SMS, and direct mail, set up loyalty programs, and think strategically about how to design the most relevant customer journeys.
In this role, you’ll interact daily with the founders of the Shopify scale-ups in your portfolio. Together with a team of specialists, you’ll ensure deadlines are met and results are delivered. In short: a great mix of strategy, execution, and client interaction.

Over jou
It’s important that you have a strong interest in e-commerce. In addition, you have at least 2 years of relevant work experience—for example, as an Email Marketer, Performance Marketer, or All-round Marketer at an agency or your own Shopify brand.
Responsiblities:
You are the main point of contact and ultimately responsible for a portfolio of 6–8 clients
You develop roadmaps aimed at increasing LTV for e-commerce brands
You work with copywriters, designers, and Klaviyo specialists to meet deadlines
You analyze purchasing behavior and performance data to roll out new initiatives for your clients

Client trust your strategic direction and see you as the extension of their growth team
Campaigns and flows go live on time, with clear rationale behind every decision
You proactively bring ideas to the table that move the needle on LTV and retention
You help clients implement retention strategies and tooling beyond just email
